Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in session of Presidential Council for physical culture and sport

On October 9, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a session of Russian Presidential Council for physical culture and sport held by Vladimir Putin in Cheboksary. Development of sports material and technical base in 2016-2020, improvement of the system of sports events were discussed at the session.
Speaking at the session, Vladimir Putin said that positive changes in mass sport and sport of high achievements can be done only with quality modern material and technical base. According to the President, 27.5 per cent of population takes sports in Russia.
The President noted that implementation of the Federal special-purpose programme finishes in 2015. The programme concept and funding were approved by Russian Government at the beginning of this year.
Vladimir Putin said that construction of low-budget sports venues is very important. He also asked to pay special attention to development of sports infrastructure in Sevastopol, Crimea and some Southern regions of Russia.
Vladimir Putin also noted that certain conclusions should be made taking into account problems occurred during implementation of the current federal programme, such as facility completion deadlines.
Among important issues the President mentioned development of sports material and technical base at educational institutions, involvement of elderly people in sports.
Vladimir Putin also noted the lack of regular accessible to public sports events.

On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
