Rustam Minnikhanov meets delegation of Toro Rosso Formula 1 Team

On October 15, at Tatarstan Government House, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with executives of the Toro Rosso Formula 1 Team and Russian pilot of the team Daniil Kvayt. Founder of Acronis Company Sergey Belousov, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Information and Communications of the republic Roman Shaikhutdinov, Aide to Tatarstan President on Economic Affairs Airat Khairullin, Tatarstan Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports Vladimir Leonov, President of Motorsports Federation of Tatarstan Ivan Egorov took part in the meeting.
The Toro Rosso team delegation arrived in Tatarstan at the invitation of the regional leaders and one of their sponsors – Acronis Company. Today Daniil Kvyat will hold master classes for riders at the Kazan Ring racetrack and Forsazh carting center and meet his fans at the IT park. Tomorrow the delegation will head for Naberezhnye Chelny.
Opening the meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov thanked the guests for their visit to Tatarstan. “Sport is an important link of our work. We try to bring people together and make them healthy through sports. Major sporting events also allow us to change our republic,” Tatarstan President said.
He continued that the republic is actively supporting technical kinds of sports. "Carting is particularly important, because it is the foundation of motorsports, where the basics are taught, " Minnikhanov said.
“We are very glad to see you in Kazan. Formula 1 is the pinnacle of motorsports. To get there and gain a foothold is great achievement,” Minnikhanov addressed Daniil Kvyat.
In his turn, Franz Tost, Principal of the Toro Rosso team, thanked Rustam Minnikhanov for warm reception in the republic. He said that he was impressed with Kazan, an advanced, clean and beautiful city.
Franz Tost especially thanked Rustam Minnikhanov for his support of carting. Head of Toro Rosso said that carting is the first step in motor racing, but not only young but also adult pilots go in for carting. Even Michael Schumacher drove carts when performed at Formula-1, he added.
Daniil Kvyat told Rustam Minnikhanov about his racing career and performances at Formula-1. Tatarstan President wished the Russian pilot success in the main motor racing of the planet and promised to root for him.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
On May 14, Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kokhir Rasulzoda, who arrived on a working visit in Kazan to take part in the events of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, was met by Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin and other officials at the Kazan International Airport.
