Intelligent Transport Systems Seminar opens in Kazan

On October 15, Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov took part in opening of the International Intelligent Transport Systems Seminar at Kazan IT-park.
Projects in the sphere of intelligent transport systems, traffic safety, accessibility of transport infrastructure, and improvement of ecological situation will be discussed at the seminar.
Before the seminar Ildar Khalikov and Director on international issues and cooperation with partners of ERTICO - ITS Europe Rasmus Lindholm looked around the exhibition of state-of-the-art solutions in the sphere of intelligent transport systems.
In his interview, Ildar Khalikov noted that the use of intelligent transport systems is very topical.
“For the last few years there has been a major progress in road traffic management. We were lucky to implement best Russian and global practices during preparation for Universiade 2013. And we see the results. On September 1, which is usually the busiest day, we had traffic delays of no more than 15 minutes for the first time,” Ildar Khalikov said.
Ildar Khalikov stressed that Tatarstan developers have a great experience in the sphere of intelligent transport systems that is also used in other Russian regions.
In his turn, Rasmus Lindholm told that the organization has worked with intelligent transport systems in Europe for 20 years.
Ildar Khalikov said that considering current rates of automobilization, necessary level of traffic safety and comfort cannot be provided without implementation of intelligent transport systems.
“One of main purposes of our seminar is to unite efforts of scientists, developers of intelligent transport systems, authorities and businesses,” Ildar Khalikov summarized.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
