Section of M7 “Volga” motorway opened after reconstruction in Elabuga region

On October 24, Head of Federal Road Agency Roman Starovoit, Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov, Minister of Transport and Roads Lenar Safin, Head of Federal Treasury Institution “Volgo-Vyatskupravtodor” Ildar Mingazov, and heads of contracting organizations took part in solemn opening of a section of M7 “Volga” motorway after reconstruction in Elabuga region.
Ildar Khalikov congratulated road workers on the event and thanked them for quality work done a year earlier than it was expected. Racers of KAMAZ-Master team also tested the quality of the road today.
The motorway section was built in 1974-1980. After reconstruction the traffic capacity will increase twice. The traffic is now one-way and safe. 7.6 billion roubles of federal funds were allocated for the repair works. The road workers noted that modern technologies that improve the holding power were used during the repair works.
Construction of the second section – Elabuga-Izhevsk-Novomendeleevsk chemical plant that opened today started in December 2012. The road provides safe access to Novomendeleevsk chemical plant.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
