Rustam Minnikhanov: “Tatarstan and Mersin have many opportunities for cooperation”

On October 28, at his meeting with business delegation of Mersin province led by Chairman of Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mr. Şerafettin Aşut, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that the Republic of Tatarstan and Mersin province have good potential for cooperation in many spheres.
Rustam Minnikhanov welcomed members of the delegation and personally Şerafettin Aşut and thanked them for assistance in organization of the visit of Tatarstan delegation to Mersin in May 2014. The President noted that cooperation between Tatarstan and Turkey is actively developing and Turkey takes the first place by the number of enterprises with foreign participation in Tatarstan.
Tatarstan President told about cooperation between Turkey and Tatarstan and mutual visits of delegations. He also thanked consulate-general of Turkey in Kazan for active assistance in development of relations.
Rustam Minnikhanov assured Turkish businessmen that all projects implemented in the republic would obtain maximum support of regional leadership.
Members of Turkish delegation, in their turn, told about their companies and areas of cooperation they are interested in.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
