Rustam Minnikhanov meets Director of Japanese RIKEN Omics Science Center

On October 29, in Kazan, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met Director of Japanese RIKEN Omics Science Center Yoshihide Hayashizaki. Being a part of RIKEN institution, Omics Science Center conducts research in the sphere of genetics.
Opening the meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov said that much emphasis is put on high-technology medicine in Russia. He also told about opening of the Centre of nuclear medicine and Centre of electron emission tomography that helped Tatarstan obtaining certain positive results in prevention of oncologic diseases.
During the meeting Rustam Minnikhanov expressed his confidence that cooperation between RIKEN and Kazan Federal University would be successful.
A memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the area of preventive and diagnostic medicine was signed between Kazan Federal University, RIKEN and Tatarstan Cancer Center.
The memorandum implies expansion of joint research work in the sphere of medicine and genomics, implementation of joint research programmes, promotion of the exchange of scholars and technical experts, students and post-graduate students, and organization of joint academic events for the purpose of developing Russian and international scientific community. Also, opening of a joint laboratory at Kazan Federal University is planned.
Tatarstan Vice-Premier – Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Akhmetov, Aide to Tatarstan President on economic affairs Airat Khairullin, Minister of Health Adel Vafin, and rector of Kazan Federal University Ilshat Gafurov took part in the meeting.

On 24 April in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin held a joint meeting the Council for Enforcement of Legislation of Languages of Tatarstan and the organizational committee for celebrations of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay which summarized results of work of the regional law enforcement on official languages of the republic and considered progress of the implementation of the plan of main events for preparation and celebration of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay .
On 21 April, speaking at a briefing in the Government House of the republic, the Head of the Russian Federal Tax Service for Tatarstan Marat Safiullin said that slightly more than one week is left to file an income tax return for 2025 with the tax service. According to the results of the tax campaign 5.5.bn rubles should come to the regional budget, he said and informed who should submit declarations and who is entitled to benefits.
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects.
