Tatarstan Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov took part in seminar on issues of anti-crisis measures in agricultural complex

Republican seminar "About implementation of anti-crisis measures for the purpose of increasing effectiveness of agricultural production, mobilization of staff and scientific-technical potential of agricultural complex for organization of fodder laying-in and successful harvesting in 2009” was held in Laishevo municipal region of Republic Tatarstan.

President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev, Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov, Chairman of RT State Council Farid Mukhametshin, responsible employees of the President office, Cabinet of ministers, RT State Council, deputies of State Duma of Russian Federation, heads of federal bodies of RF state power in Tatarstan, chiefs of republican ministries and departments, heads of industrial enterprises and organizations of agroindustrial complex and municipal regions took part in the seminar.
Deputy Prime Minister of Republic Tatarstan – Minister of agriculture and foodstuff Marat Akhmetov made the main report at seminar. By his words, for last 7 years Tatarstan scientists have created 32 new varieties of crop.

Minister also told about main working results of Tatarstan agroindustrial complex for 6 months. In spite of crisis situation in all sectors, production of cattle and poultry has increased for 8 %.

Tatarstan President criticized the position of some Tatarstan investors who started realizing large projects outside Tatarstan. In particular it concerned the owner of JSC “Krasny Vostok-Agro” Airat Khairullin.

Mintimer Shaimiev offered establishing grants for those livestock breeders who increase total numbers of cows.

Marat Akhmetov noted that sowing campaign-2009 was successfully held.

President of Tatarstan also stressed that “product basket” in republic is the cheapest one. Basket which includes 19 items costs 1834 roubles, while the average cost in Russia is 2248 roubles.

Mintimer Shaimiev considers that it is necessary to attract heads of all municipal regions for participating in such seminars.
