Tatarstan President: “Renat Muslimov is a legend of Russian oil science and industry”

On October 31, at a solemn session of Academic and Guardian Council of Kazan Federal University dedicated to the 80th anniversary of a “patriarch” of Tatarstan oil industry academician Renat Muslimov, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that he made an enormous contribution to formation and development of Tatarstan oil science and industry.
Opening the meeting, Pro-rector for research activity of Kazan Federal University Denis Nurgaliev said that for the first time the session of Academic and Guardian Council is dedicated to anniversary of an outstanding person. Denis Nurgaliev briefly told about biography of the academician and invited Rustam Minnikhanov to deliver a congratulatory speech.
“It is a unique day for Kazan Federal University, Tatarstan and Russian oil industry. Renat Muslimov is a living legend of oil industry and science of the republic,” Tatarstan President said.
He continued that owing to such people achievements of oil industry were maintained and new resource base was formed.
Tatarstan President noted that Renat Muslimov represents industry and science that helps implementing state-of-the-art technologies in oil production. Renat Muslimov made a considerable contribution to creation of small oil companies and takes up an active position in Tatneft Board of Directors.
Rustam Minnikhanov wished Renat Muslimov many years of life and work for the good of the republic, and handed a medal “In commemoration of production of 3rd billion tonne of oil in Tatarstan to Renat Muslimov.
Denis Nurgaliev, in his turn, handed a diploma of honoured professor of Kazan Federal University to Renat Muslimov. He also presented a book “Chief geologist” about Renat Muslimov.
Greetings of the Head of Federal Agency on Subsoil Use Valery Pak were read out at the meeting. A gold medal of Tatarstan Academy of Sciences was also handed to Renat Muslimov.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
On May 14, Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kokhir Rasulzoda, who arrived on a working visit in Kazan to take part in the events of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, was met by Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin and other officials at the Kazan International Airport.
