Tatarstan President meets Deputy Chairman of Council of Ministers of Cuba

On November 2, at the Revolution Palace of Havana, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov had a meeting with Deputy Chairman of Cuban Ministers’s Council Ricardo Cabrisas.
Opening the meeting, Cabrisas welcomed Minnikhanov and members of the Tatarstan delegation and expressed his confidence that their visit would contribute to better relations between the two countries, Russia and Cuba.
“You represent the republic which plays a very important role,” he said addressing Tatarstan President. “We will have an opportunity to share our opinions, we will make a presentation of foreign investment portfolio Cuba needs,” Ricardo Cabrisas added.
Welcoming Ricardo Cabrisas, Rustam Minnikhanov thanked him for hospitality and Cuban Embassy in Moscow and Russian Embassy in Havana for their help in arranging the visit of the delegation of the republic to Cuba.
“We appreciate an opportunity to develop relationship within the framework of friendly Russia-Cuba relation. Our delegation consists of 33 people and we have great plans and some proposals, in particular regarding cooperation with KAMAZ,” Tatarstan President said.
According to Minnikhanov, the main purpose of the visit is participation in the 32nd International Fair of Havana FIHAV, at which Tatarstan has its exposition stand.
Minnikhanov also expressed his confidence that during the visit Tatarstan and Cuban business community will open up new areas for cooperation, agree on joint projects. According to him, Russia and Cuba are experiencing a new stage of development of relations. Tatarstan, being one of the leading industrialized regions of Russia, is ready to take part in the development of this cooperation.
Minnikhanov presented the main industrial and innovative projects implemented in Tatarstan. Summing up, Tatarstan President thanked Ricardo Cabrisas for the meeting and invited him to visit Tatarstan.
Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov, Aide to Tatarstan President Radik Gimatdinov, Director General of KAMAZ Automobile Corporation Sergey Kogogin, Director of Tatneft Oil Company Nail Maganov, Board Chairman Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the republic Shamil Ageev, Chief Executive of Tatarstan Investment Development Agency Taliya Minnulina and other Tatarstan officials took part in the meeting.

On 24 April in the Government House of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin held a joint meeting the Council for Enforcement of Legislation of Languages of Tatarstan and the organizational committee for celebrations of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay which summarized results of work of the regional law enforcement on official languages of the republic and considered progress of the implementation of the plan of main events for preparation and celebration of the 140th birthday of Gabdulla Tukay .
On 21 April, speaking at a briefing in the Government House of the republic, the Head of the Russian Federal Tax Service for Tatarstan Marat Safiullin said that slightly more than one week is left to file an income tax return for 2025 with the tax service. According to the results of the tax campaign 5.5.bn rubles should come to the regional budget, he said and informed who should submit declarations and who is entitled to benefits.
On 13 April in his congratulatory address on the occasion of the Maecenas and Benefactor Day, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: "Tatarstan has always been known for its generous and kind-hearted people who are ready to help the needy and support important social, cultural and educational projects. We all remember with gratitude the outstanding philanthropists – the Akchurin brothers, the Alafuzovs, and the Ushkovs, whose good deeds and generous donations contributed to the development of culture, education, and healthcare in our republic.
