Rustam Minnikhanov visits Havana Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology

On November 3, during his visit to Cuba, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited Havana Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (BioCubaFarma).
Director General of the Center Louis Herrera made a presentation for Tatarstan delegation.
Founded in 1986, Havana Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology is an important scientific and production facility. The center deals with a full study cycle including biotechnology of the product, development process, production and registration. Up to 85 per cent of Cuba pharmaceuticals are produced at BioCubaFarma.
More than 550 scientists and engineers are working on 50 research projects at the center.
Tatarstan President and members of Tatarstan delegation were shown around the center.
On 2 March in her address on the occasion of the Mentor’s Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: “Since 2025 this holiday established by Russian President Vladimir Putin has occupied a worthy place in the calendar of significant dates of our country, emphasizing the high status and significance of the mentoring mission.
On 28 February, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Director of the Fund “The Institute of Development of Tatarstan Cities” Nailya Nagumanova informed about preparation to the implementation of the Our Yard programme in the republic.
On 28 February, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference , the Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector of the republic Marat Ayzatullin reported the statistics on collection of utility payments and payment discipline.
On 28 February, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference , the Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector of the republic Marat Ayzatullin informed that 170 educational facilities will have capital overhaul by federal and regional programmes, having added that the bulk of the projects are planned to begin at the start of the summer holidays.
