Tatarstan Minister of culture Zilya Valeeva: “Qualitative management is an important resource to overcome crisis”

Educational seminar for heads of ministries and departments specially developed for Tatarstan started in Singapore (June, 27 - July, 11).

By and large 23 government officials took part in the seminar. Deputy Prime Minister of Republic Tatarstan – Minister of culture Zilya Valeeva, Minister of economy of Republic Tatarstan Marat Safiullin, Minister of labour, employment and social care of Republic Tatarstan Airat Shafigullin told about results of educational seminar at briefing in the RT Cabinet.

Marat Safiullin told about main social and economic rates of Singapore.

“Singapore managed to achieve serious rates in a short period of time. Quality of life is of primary importance here. All tasks set before ministries and departments are concentrated on rates of investments and employment”, - RT Minister of economy said.

According to assessment of independent experts Singapore takes a number of leading positions in some areas. It is the most competitive and convenient place for keeping business. The best labour reserves and sea port in Asia are situated in Singapore. It takes the forth place among 180 less corrupt countries in Asia.

Educational program for Tatarstan participants was organized by Ministry of foreign affairs and Institute of state service of Singapore.

Participants defined areas of joint cooperation such as “E-government” and IT sector, organization of training in the sphere of state and municipal management, interaction in logistics sector, higher education, attraction of investments, delivery of petrochemical and oil-processing products. Besides they agreed on direct cooperation among ministries and departments, business mission of Singapore companies in Tatarstan in 2010, participation of Tatarstan in Russian forum in September 2009 and presentation of Singapore companies in investment forum “Euromoney-Kazan 2009”.
