Veterans of Czech and Ak Bars hockey teams play in Kazan

On November 5, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin took part in a friendly match between veterans of Czech and Ak Bars hockey teams at Sports Palace in Kazan.
Rustam Minnikhanov and Minister of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic Jan Mládek spoke at the opening ceremony.
“It is going to be a wonderful match between veterans of Czech and Tatarstan teams. Sport unites people. The current international situation is rather challenging. However, sport gathered us together here. Let us play good hockey,” Rustam Minnikhanov said.
“I am sure that such sport events strengthen our friendship and cooperation,” Jan Mládek said.
On 2 March in her address on the occasion of the Mentor’s Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: “Since 2025 this holiday established by Russian President Vladimir Putin has occupied a worthy place in the calendar of significant dates of our country, emphasizing the high status and significance of the mentoring mission.
On 28 February, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Director of the Fund “The Institute of Development of Tatarstan Cities” Nailya Nagumanova informed about preparation to the implementation of the Our Yard programme in the republic.
