The largest plant for production of nonwoven fabrics opened in special economic zone “Alabuga”

On July, 15 the largest plant for production of nonwoven fabrics CJSC “Polymatiz” was launched in special economic zone “Alabuga”. Vice Premier of Russian government Dmitry Kozak, President of Tatarstan Mintimer Shaimiev took part in the solemn opening ceremony. “Today we celebrate a very important event both for Tatarstan and Russia”, - Dmitry Kozak said. He considers that it is the signal for Russian economy.

Vice Premier of Russian government noted that appearance of such modern plant in special economic zone “Alabuga” is the result of joint efforts of business and authorities of all levels. By words of Dmitry Kozak 30 new enterprises will appear in “Alabuga” till 2012.

Mintimer Shaimiev stressed that only 3 yeas have passed from the moment of decision-making regarding foundation of special economic zone “Alabuga”. Today areas with developed infrastructure for future production are prepared on the territory 2 000 hectares. First production in special economic zone was launched by “Sollers”.

Chairman of Directors Board of CJSC “Polymatiz” Aleksandr Sinelnikov said at the ceremony that 200 items are planned to be produced at the plant.

Total cost of project makes 2,333 bln. roubles. CJSC “Polymatiz” will produce polypropylene material which is being used in all spheres of national economy.
