Tatarstan and Institute of state service named after Li Kuan Yu (Singapore) continue cooperating

Training of ministers from Tatarstan in Institute of state service named after Li Kuan Yu (Singapore) should result in increasing effectiveness of administration in state power bodies, adoption of new standards, initiating ideas in many sectors of health care, social policy and state housing construction.

Tatarstan Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov said about it in the course of exchanging opinions regarding training of RT Cabinet members and representatives of some departments in Singapore.

We remind that 23 members of administrative staff – heads of ministries and departments took part in seminar on improvement of professional skills in the sphere of state management held in Singapore on June, 27 – July, 11.

RT Prime Minister considers that such trainings enlarge outlook of officials, allow seeing perspectives and directions of further development and reforming of branches. In particular, learning Singapore experience will allow planning further reforming of system of education (use of cluster system), health care (differentiation of medical institutions for financing of services rendered to population), and social sphere (elimination of the so-called “impersonal” social care.

By words of RT Minister of economy Marat Safiullin special attention was paid to studying of policy of state housing construction.

Rustam Minnikhanov offered to continue cooperating with Institute of state service named after Li Kuan Yu in Sangapore. In particular, it is meant to train government employees of Tatarstan programs “Effective state management” and “Effective city management”.

During the visit of Tatarstan representatives to Singapore, the parties agreed that Tatarstan delegation must take part in Russian-Singapore business forum (September 2009) and Singapore businessmen due to arrive in Tatarstan to participate in investment forum “Euromoney-Kazan 2009”.

In addition, it is planned to organize business mission of Singapore companies in 2010 to get acquainted with economy and possibilities of Republic Tatarstan.
