Memory of victims of Boeing-737 crash honoured at Kazan airport

On November 17, a mourning meeting dedicated to one-year anniversary of Boeing-737 crash was held at Kazan international airport. Relatives of the victims and Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov took part in the event.
“With a sore heart we remember those we lost on that tragic day of November 17, 2013. No matter how much time will pass our anguish of bereavement will stay with us. It was a terrible misfortune for those, who lost their children, mothers, fathers, relatives and friends, for our republic and country. Today we are bowing down to those, who lost their lives so early and unexpectedly, and their relatives. We are standing on the place that will always be a pain in our hearts and memories. They say people die twice, and the second time is when we forget about them. We will always remember you…
We cannot turn the clock back, we can only keep the memory and help each other. I hope that our common feelings will help to console relatives of the lost. Let us cherish the memory of the lost,” Ildar Khalikov said and read out the names of people, who died in the plane crash one year ago.
The memory of the lost was honoured with a minute’s silence.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
