Management of EBARA Inc. (Japan) presented opportunities to Prime Minister of Republic Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov

Presentation of their opportunities was held for Prime Minister of Republic Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov by the representatives of Japanese corporation EBARA.

Corporation EBARA is the largest producer of pump equipment for industrial and household sector and has been operating in the world market since 1912. Today, EBARA enters ten companies - the largest manufacturers of pumps in the world and produces more 90 thousand pumps a year. The sales volume of the company's output in 2008 exceeded 4 billion US dollars. The personnel totals more than 50 thousand people worldwide (more than 70 countries).

As EBARA representatives informed, production is presented by three main groups: liquid mechanics (compressors, turbines), equipment for work with environment (pumps for water supply, etc.) precise mechanical engineering.

The largest pump factories of the company are located in Japan (Haneda Plant, Fujisawa), in Vietnam, India (production of pumps on swapping oil and gas), Korea, recently new production launched in China.

RT Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov has thanked representatives of corporation for the interest shown to Tatarstan. He noted, that the corporation today intends to occupy the niche in the market of developing countries - in China, Russia, Brazil.

According to the head of RT government, during the further acquaintance with economy of Tatarstan the EBARA delegation may itself define the most suitable variants of cooperation. In particular, it may be creation of a new production in territory of a special economic zone «Alabuga» as duty-free zone, where customs and tax privileges are stipulated.

Besides RT Premier offered Japanese manufacturers to consider the opportunity of developing business in cooperation with a number of the profile enterprises of Tatarstan presented in the market of manufacturing pump devices («Kazankompressormash», « Bugulma electropump plant », etc.).

« We are opened to cooperation », - Rustam Minnikhanov said. He noted that the republic, first of all, is interested in the long-term cooperation focused not on single purchases of the equipment but more likely on deeper integration, coproduction, opening engineering and service centers.

We remind that the delegation of EBARA representatives arrived in Kazan with working visit yesterday, on July 27th. Members of delegation already had time to familiarize with activity of JSC "Kazan engine-building production association, KMPO » and JSC “Kompressormarsh ".

For tomorrow together with representatives of the RT Ministry of industry and trade visiting a special economic zone «Alabuga», JSC "Tatneft" (Almetyevsk) and " Tatneft " capacities in Bugulma is planned.

Besides Japanese expressed desire to see civil-engineering design of the Complex of petrochemical and oil refining plants in Nizhnekamsk city (the operator of construction JSC "TANECO") and the project of "Ammonium" in Mendeleevsk town.
