Federal measures on road construction development discussed in Kazan

On November 26, in Kazan, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a meeting held by Assistant to the Russian President Igor Levitin on organization of work for the implementation of orders of the President of the Russian Federation following the meeting of the State Council of the Russian Federation "On improving the road network for integrated development of territories of the Russian Federation.”
Opening the meeting, Levitin first of all thanked its participants and personally the Head of the working group – Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov for preparation of the meeting of the State Council of the Russian Federation held in Novosibirsk on October 8 of the current year.
Levitin reminded the words of the Russian President that economic growth, business competitiveness, integrated development of regions and successful implementation of all social tasks directly depend on the development of roads.
Speaking at the meeting, Minnikhanov said that improvement and development of the road network is one of the main problems authorities at all levels face.
He said that currently 53 per cent of federal and 63 per cent of regional roads do not correspond to regulatory requirements, the number of cars increases by 6% each year while the number of roads put into operation remains the same. The situation is even worth with municipal roads.
Minnikhanov said that first of all it is necessary to double the volume of road construction. Also, the issue of optimization of construction and reconstruction cost is still open. According to him, it is necessary to make changes to requirements for the construction of roads with low traffic density, classification of road works, legitimize industrial regional standards in the pilot regions, create a modern database of innovative technologies and materials and introduce a system for qualification of designers.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
On May 14, Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kokhir Rasulzoda, who arrived on a working visit in Kazan to take part in the events of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, was met by Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin and other officials at the Kazan International Airport.
