RT Minister of agriculture and foodstuff Marat Akhmetov: “Direct losses from drought have made 2,5 billion roubles”

RT Minister of agriculture and foodstuff Marat Akhmetov told at briefing in the RT Cabinet that according to data for August, 4, 1 million 172 thousand tones of grain have been milled in republic. Average crop capacity makes 25 % per hectare.

Marat Akhmetov said that this year we will hardly see the increase of crop capacity. He also informed about the rates in municipal regions. Thus, in Aktanyshsky, Arsksky, Buinsksky, Tetyushsky, Kukmorsky, Spassky and Pestrechinsky regions crop capacity makes 32-36 centners per hectare. In Novosheshminsky, Leninogorsky, Aksubaevsky, Cheremshansky, Chistopolsky - 13-17 centners per hectare.

Minister of agriculture and foodstuff reminded that in this season for the whole period of vegetation there were three times less rainfall than it should be. 400 000 hectares of areas (land) suffered from drought.

By words of Head of RT Ministry of agriculture and foodstuff direct losses from drought have made 2,5 billion roubles. He said likewise that republic hopes to receive this sum as compensation for losses from federal government. Federal centre points out the necessity of ensuring grain crops.

As for federal support of agriculture upon the whole this year republic received 6 billion roubles and subsidies for mineral fertilizers.

As many as 3m 175 thousand square meters of housing planned to put into operation in Tatarstan in 2026

On 10 January, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatutllin informed that in the current year the Ministry will take part in implementation of five national projects and three state programmes with planned construction and capital overhaul of 172 facilities for the total sum of 17bn rubles.

Head of the Tatarstan Ministry of Agriculture: Today priority is to prepare agricultural machinery for field work in 2026

On 10 January, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Zyabbarov informed that it is expected to achieve a comparable growth of produce of 1.5%, including that in food production - at least 2.6% in the agricultural sector.

“Buran” (Snow storm) plan put into operation in Tatarstan

On 4 January Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, who is the First Deputy Chairman of the Commission of prevention and elimination of emergency situation and ensuring fire safety of the republic, has taken a decision to put into operation the “Buran” (Snow storm) plan in Tatarstan starting from 2 pm on 4 January until the consequences of adverse meteorological events are eliminated by ministries, departments and organizations which ensure the smooth movement of road and rail transport in winter.
