Rustam Minnikhanov: “Tatarstan actively participates in Eurasian integration”

On November 28, at a plenary session of the second Kazan forum “Eurasian economic integration: achievements and problems”, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that the experience of the republic as one of rapidly developing regions, where representatives of different cultures and nationalities live together peacefully, can be interesting for participants of Eurasian integration.
Chairman of Rossotrudnichestvo Konstantin Kosachev, Vice-premier of Cambodia Sok An, Governor of Kamchatka region Vladimir Ilyukhin, Chairman of the Committee of the Federation Council for constitutional legislation and state building Andrey Klishas, Chairman of Tatarstan State Council Farid Mukhametshin took part in the forum.
The forum is organized by Tatarstan Government and Rossotrudnichestvo by the initiative of “Eurasian dialogue” and the Russian Parliamentarian Club on November 27-28.
Representatives of legislative and executive authorities of countries participating in Eurasian integration, business associations, experts, scientists, politicians from Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan, and observers from CIS countries and European Union are taking part in the event.
The forum is a business site for consolidation of social forces of Russian and foreign experts for solving important and topical problems of international trade and economic cooperation, and formation of the common economic space, and common Eurasian market.
The following issues are on the agenda: strengthening relations between states on the international level; development of the common infrastructure within Eurasian economic union; implementation of major projects in social, political, economic and cultural spheres; development of entrepreneurship in Eurasian space and foreign economic relations of the Customs Union; development of the market of intellectual property; strengthening integration relations in post-Soviet space.
Direct video communication with a few foreign countries was organized during the session. By and large, 600 people took part in the event.
Welcoming the audience, Konstantin Kosachev read out greetings of Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov.
Speaking at the forum, Rustam Minnikhanov said that he was glad that Kazan has become the place for constructive dialogue on issues of Eurasian integration again, and noted that Tatarstan takes an active part in Eurasian integration.
Minnikhanov also told about joint projects of Tatarstan, Belarus and Kazakhstan, and cooperation in the sphere of agriculture and forestry. The president expressed his hope that the forum would facilitate development of relations between Tatarstan and participants of Eurasian integration.
Speaker of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko delivered a welcoming speech and read out greetings of Chairman of the State Duma Sergey Naryshkin.
On 2 March in her address on the occasion of the Mentor’s Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: “Since 2025 this holiday established by Russian President Vladimir Putin has occupied a worthy place in the calendar of significant dates of our country, emphasizing the high status and significance of the mentoring mission.
On 28 February, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Director of the Fund “The Institute of Development of Tatarstan Cities” Nailya Nagumanova informed about preparation to the implementation of the Our Yard programme in the republic.
On 28 February, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference , the Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector of the republic Marat Ayzatullin reported the statistics on collection of utility payments and payment discipline.
On 28 February, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference , the Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector of the republic Marat Ayzatullin informed that 170 educational facilities will have capital overhaul by federal and regional programmes, having added that the bulk of the projects are planned to begin at the start of the summer holidays.
