Mintimer Shaimiev and Anatoly Karpov visit superfinal of Russian chess championship

On November 28, Tatarstan State Counsellor, member of the Board of Guardians of Russian chess federation Mintimer Shaimiev and 12-time world champion, deputy of State Duma of the Federal Assembly Anatoly Karpov visited men’s and woman’s superfinal games of Russian chess championship at “Khazine” national art gallery at the Kazan Kremlin.
Mintimer Shaimiev and Anatoly Karpov looked around the exhibition of pictures of Nikolay Feshin, where young artists from Kazan art school named after N.I.Feshin were painting portraits of famous chess players of the country. The guests also saw black-and-white pictures about chess taken by photographers of different times, and watched online broadcasts of superfinal matches.
Summing up the excursion, Mintimer Shaimiev thanked organizers of superfinal events, especially Russian chess federation, and charity foundation of Elena and Gennady Timchenko.
The championship is organized by Russian chess federation, charity foundation of Elena and Gennady Timchenko under the auspices of Tatarstan Government.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
