Rustam Minnikhanov: "Tatarstan people living outside the republic are our competitive potential"

On December 3, in Kazan, at his meeting with young specialists at the forum “Revealing Talents” Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that graduates of Tatarstan universities, who were born in Tatarstan and achieved success outside the republic, are competitive potential of the republic.
As many 50 young specialists, born in Kazan and graduated from Tatarstan universities, from other Russian cities and abroad took part in the meeting.
Minnikhanov welcomed participants of the meeting and stressed the importance of holding such meetings. "We are happy for you, because you are competitive potential of our republic," he said.
"There are different points of view on people leaving the republic. I believe that it is not so bad, but it is important to know the reasons. We have conducted a survey among you to analyze reasons and take them into account in the future," Minnikhanov continued.
According to him, specialists, who left the republic can become a link in the international contacts of Tatarstan and joint projects.
During the meeting, its participants asked Tatarstan President questions and made some proposals. Thus, for example, Kazan architects working in Milan offered their services and skills in the field of urban planning for the republic. Minnikhanov supported them and gave an errand to Kazan leaders and Ministry of Construction, Architecture and Housing and Utilities Services republic hold a meeting with specialists for more detailed discussion.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
