Tatarstan President takes part in “Transport week” in Moscow

On December 4, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov accompanied by Tatarstan Minister of Transport and Roads Lenar Safin took part in an international exhibition-forum “Transport week” in Moscow (December 1-6, Gostiny Dvor). Representatives of Russian Government, Ministry of Transport, federal and regional legislative and executive authorities, heads of federal and foreign agencies, major transport companies and financial organizations are taking part in the event.
Also, the 8th international exhibition “Transport of Russia” is held within the framework of “Transport week-2014”. Russian Ministry of Transport will present projects on developing regional transport infrastructure.
Rustam Minnikhanov took part in a business breakfast organized by Russian Ministry of Transport with participation of the minister Maksim Sokolov, representatives of investment, financial institutes, building and transport companies. Mechanisms of interaction between Russian Ministry of Transport and businesses on initiating and preparing concession agreement, selection of projects of the part of the state, attraction of private funding in projects of private-state partnership, and project structuring for Asian investors.
After breakfast, Maksim Sokolov and Rustam Minnikhanov looked around the expositions, including Tatarstan presentation of functioning and developing projects, such as Kazan and Begishevo airports, intermodal railway line, creation of Sviyazhsk interregional intermodal logistics centre, construction of cable way in Kazan, railway circular traffic, transport hubs, and development of the market of gas-engine fuel.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
