Tatarstan President: “We are improving the system of professional education at SEZ “Alabuga”

On December 8, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Tatarstan Minister of Education and Science Engel Fattakhov, Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov, Aide to Tatarstan President on economic issues Airat Khairullin, Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Protection Elmira Zaripova, Minister of Economy Artem Zdunov, and representatives of SEZ “Alabuga” resident companies took part in a meeting on personnel support of the residents.
Before the meeting Rustam Minnikhanov met employees of resident companies, who attended or are attending professional training.
“We understand that innovative development and creation of such enterprises as we have at SEZ “Alabuga” are impossible without qualified specialists.
Therefore, we should be aware of the current situation at the labour market. The demand for labour is increasing, so we should think about the number of employees needed, and educational organizations we should chose for their training in advance,” Minnikhanov said.
Speaking about positive examples of cooperation between enterprises and educational organizations, Rustam Minnikhanov mentioned OAO “Tatneft”, “Zelenodolsk Plant named after A.M. Gorky”, and Nizhnekamskneftekhim pharmaceutical company.
According to Tatarstan President, 4.5 thousand employees are currently working at SEZ “Alabuga”, and their number is expected to make 16, 000 by 2020.
Information about work of “Alabuga” resource center that renders personnel support to the residents was presented at the meeting. Currently, the resource center provides training services by 15 most popular positions. 1,406 people have already passed training at the center, 2,100 people will undergo training in 2015.
Representatives of resident companies also told about professional education and existing problems.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
On May 14, Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kokhir Rasulzoda, who arrived on a working visit in Kazan to take part in the events of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, was met by Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin and other officials at the Kazan International Airport.
