Mechanisms of public control of natural monopolies discussed at the Kazan Kremlin

On December 16, at the Kazan Kremlin, the second meeting of the Tatarstan Presidential Inter-sectoral Consumer Council on acitivity of natural monopolies with participation of Chief of Staff of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan considered issues of implementation of mechanisms of public control over the activity of natural monopolies.
In particular, the meeting discussed the report made by the Council on results of considering the draft investment program of JSC "Generating Company" for 2015-2019. The company is a heating supplier in Kazan, Naberezhnye Chelny, Nizhnekamsk and Zainsk. Speaking at the meeting, its General Director Rouzil Khaziev told about plans of the enterprise up to 2019, focusing particular attention on new construction and investment projects that will improve the company efficiency.
On 12 January, congratulating employees of the prosecutor’s office with their professional holiday - Day of the employee of the Prosecutor's Office of the Russian Federation- Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin wrote in his address:
“For more than three centuries the prosecutor's office has been the guardian of state and public security as well as constitutional rights and freedoms of citizens of our country.
On 10 January, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatutllin informed that in the current year the Ministry will take part in implementation of five national projects and three state programmes with planned construction and capital overhaul of 172 facilities for the total sum of 17bn rubles.
On 10 January, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Zyabbarov informed that it is expected to achieve a comparable growth of produce of 1.5%, including that in food production - at least 2.6% in the agricultural sector.
On 4 January Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, who is the First Deputy Chairman of the Commission of prevention and elimination of emergency situation and ensuring fire safety of the republic, has taken a decision to put into operation the “Buran” (Snow storm) plan in Tatarstan starting from 2 pm on 4 January until the consequences of adverse meteorological events are eliminated by ministries, departments and organizations which ensure the smooth movement of road and rail transport in winter.
