Work of Lukoil Company in Volga Federal District discussed in Kazan

On December 18, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and President of OAO “Lukoil” Vagit Alekperov took part in a meeting on issues of work of Lukoil company in Volga Federal District held by Russian Presidential Envoy in Volga Federal District Mikhail Babich in Kazan.
Opening the meeting, Mikhail Babich said that the company is working efficiently in all regions of Volga Federal District. He especially noted the highest level of social responsibility. “Agreements on social partnership have been signed, and multi-million social programmes are implemented in all regions,” he said.
The meeting was initiated by Vagit Alekperov, who suggested summarizing year’s results and discussing future plans considering current economic situation and challenges faced by the industry.
Rustam Minnikhanov welcomed participants of the meeting and noted historically close relations between the republic and Lukoil. Cooperation of Lukoil with Tatneft is very important, he added.
“Lukoil is also a large consumer of Tatarstan industrial produce and a supplier of raw materials for our petrochemical industry,” Minnikhanov said.
Tatarstan President also noted high social responsibility of the company and thanked Vagit Alekperov for cooperation.
“2015 will be a decisive year for us. The investments we made in the previous two years will help us providing 5 billion of fixed capital in Volga Federal District. It means that the company is the biggest tax payer in the district,” Alekperov stated.
Summing up, Vagit Alekperov thanked Mikhail Babich and heads of regions for discussing issues of Lukoil work and willingness to solve the raised problems.
On 5 February Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in ceremony of awarding winners of the regional competition “The Woman of the Year. The Man of the Year: A Woman’s View” held at the Korston Leisure and Recreation Center in Kazan.
On 4 March at a briefing in the Government House of the republic Tatarstan Minister of Land and Property Relation Fanil Agliullin told about changes in land legislation enforced from 1 March of the current year. He said that they simplify a number of procedures for land plot owners including expanding the possibilities for land use and changing the rules for changing the category of a plot.
On 2 March in her address on the occasion of the Mentor’s Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: “Since 2025 this holiday established by Russian President Vladimir Putin has occupied a worthy place in the calendar of significant dates of our country, emphasizing the high status and significance of the mentoring mission.
On 28 February, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Director of the Fund “The Institute of Development of Tatarstan Cities” Nailya Nagumanova informed about preparation to the implementation of the Our Yard programme in the republic.
