Rustam Minnikhanov: “Fostering real patriots of Fatherland is our national goal”

On December 19, at a session of the Council under Russian Presidential Envoy in Volga Federal District Mikhail Babich, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that success of civil-patriotic education depends on joint efforts of all concerned parties.
Opening the session, the Russian Presidential Envoy shared his impressions about the visit to the center of sports, patriotic and pre-army service training “Patriot” in Kazan and thanked leadership of the republic for a great presentation of the center.
Speaking at the event, Rustam Minnikhanov thanked Mikhail Babich for holding the session in Kazan. He reminded that the republic has won the contest for the best training for military service in Russian Armed Forces 6 times, and actively supports initiatives on developing Voluntary Association for Assistance to Army, Air Force and Navy. Also, a veteran’s movement that works with youth patriotic organizations has always effectively worked in the republic.
According to Rustam Minnikhanov, centers of pre-army service training play an important role in patriotic education. Veteran’s organizations that are also involved in military-patriotic education should be supported by the public.
Moreover, youth patriotic movement is developing in Volga Federal District and is integrated in the state programme of patriotic education, he said.
Minnikhanov noted that educational organizations, especially Suvorov Military School and cadet schools are responsible for patriotic education. Promotion of patriotic work in social networks is an important tool of counteraction against external negative impact on young people.
Summing up, Rustam Minnikhanov reminded that Volga region is a place where many heroes of the country lived, worked, and protected their Motherland.
Governors of regions of the district, Russian Deputy Prosecutor General Sergey Zaitsev, Head of Federal Agency for Youth Affairs Sergey Pospelov took part in the session.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
On May 14, Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kokhir Rasulzoda, who arrived on a working visit in Kazan to take part in the events of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, was met by Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin and other officials at the Kazan International Airport.
