19 December 2014, Friday
On December 19, speaking at a traditional ceremony on results of the year, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov expressed his hope that the next motorsport season will be more successful for Tatarstan pilots than the last one.
Summing up results of the season, President of Tatarstan Motorsports Federation Ivan Egorov, noted the development of motorsport in the republic. In 2014, new disciplines of motorsport appeared in Tatarstan. Twenty-five Tatarstan referees, who took part in organizing and holding F1 Russian Grand Prix, gained invaluable experience.
Welcoming participants of the ceremony, Minnikhanov noted that Tatarstan racers have not gained many international victories in 2014, only the KAMAZ-Master team has achieved a success abroad. The republic has one of the best teams of referees, one of the best systems of holding motorsports competitions and, I believe, the best motorsport federation. We have a huge potential and we hope that the next season will be more successful," he said.
