Rustam Minnikhanov: Graduates of Moscow State Institute for International Relations are in demand in Tatarstan

On December 23, at his meeting with “Tatar club” of Moscow State Institute for International Relations, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that graduates of the institute are sought after in Tatarstan.
Rector of Moscow State Institute for International Relations Anatoly Torkunov and Vice-president of Russian Academy of Sciences Taliya Khabrieva took part in the meeting.
Opening the meeting, Anatoly Torkunov noted historic importance of relations between the institute and the republic. Tatarstan was the first region the institute signed agreement on training specialists with.
According to the rector, companies working in Tatarstan are one of the most successful in Russia, and “Tatar club” is quite an active community.
Speaking at the meeting, Rustam Minnikhanov said that he was glad to visit Moscow State Institute for International Relations for the first time.
“Your specialists are in high demand in the republic. Our big companies and authorities need educational and professional people,” Minnikhanov said.
According to Tatarstan President, leadership of the republic is willing to maintain contacts with students whatever they would decide to do after graduation. He thanked rector of the institute for organizing the meeting and students for participation.
Tatarstan Minister of Information and Communications Roman Shaikhutdinov told about ICT infrastructure of the republic and IT town Innopolis. Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov told about economic potential of the republic.
Director of SEZ “Alabuga” Timur Shagivaleev, a graduate of Moscow State Institute for International Relations, told about attraction of foreign investments in the special economic zone.
During the meeting students asked Rustam Minnikhanov about exchanging experience with other regions of the country. Minnikhanov told about activity of the Association of innovative regions of Russia.
An agreement between Moscow State Institute for International Relations and Kazan State Power Engineering University was signed at the end of the meeting.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
On May 14, Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kokhir Rasulzoda, who arrived on a working visit in Kazan to take part in the events of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, was met by Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin and other officials at the Kazan International Airport.
