French company “Alstom” shows interest in cooperation with Tatarstan in energy sector

Head of RT Government Rustam Minnikhanov and President of “Alstom Russia” Patrick Paskal discussed a row of directions in cooperation at the RT Cabinet meeting.

We remind that delegation of “Alstom” company headed by Mr Paskal arrived in Kazan on August, 26 and held meetings with representatives of RT Ministry of industry and trade and JSC “Tatenergo”.

Mr Paskal presented the possibilities and directions of “Alstom”’s development to RT Premier. He said that management of the company is eager to unwrap their business in Russia and its regions. Today, “Alstom” company is presented in such spheres of economy as energetics and transport sector.

By and large, 80 000 people in 70 countries work at the enterprises of the company.

Patrick Paskal told about 3 projects in transport sphere, which might be realized in the republic. In particular, the sector of city transport (modern type of trams), organizing the network of high-speed railway commotion among the cities on the territory of republic.

Mr Paskal also reminded that works on modernization of Zainsk state regional power station are being carried out.

Moreover, technology in the sphere of nature protection on cleaning harmful emissions into atmosphere was presented to Prime Minister.

Answering the journalists’ questions Mr Paskal said that Tatarstan might become the first region in Russia where “Alstom” company plans to develop its business. By words of President of “Alstom Russia”, the republic attracts French partners because of its stability, developed economy and presence of large industrial enterprises.
