Tatarstan President holds meeting on results of the year at TANECO

On December 26, in Nizhnekamsk , Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov held a final meeting on the implementation of the TANECO Oil Refining and Petrochemical Complex project. Director General of Tatneft Oil Compnay Nail Maganov, Director General of TANECO Leonid Alekhin, Head of Nizhnekamsk municipal region Aidar Metshin and other officials attended the session.
Before the meeting, its participants had visited the Nizhnekamsk thermal-power plant. The first stage of modernization works ended there today. The electric capacity increased from 380 to 730 megawatt. The second stage implies to convert the plant into a new type of fuel, oil coke. The oil coke will allow Tatneft to realize a “closed cycle” task: to produce electric and thermal power for oil-extraction and processing from its own raw materials.
Leonid Alekhin made a summary report at the meeting. He noted that 2014 was a year of robust growth of the output and widening of the product range. Preliminary, TANECO processed 8.5 million tonnes of raw material in 2014.
Along with the launch of a combined hydro-cracking installation, the output of light oil products grew by 17 per cent and attained 67 per cent. The firm started to produce highly demanded and liquid diesel Euro-5, high-quality airplane kerosene.
Summarizing 2014, Rustam Minnikhanov thanked the participants of the TANECO project. He noted that a highly professional and competent team was set up for this strategic project.
On 24 April, speaking at a briefing dedicated to the preservation of cultural heritage sites and confined to the International Day of Historical Monuments and Sites held in the Government House of the republic, the Aid to the Rais of Tatarstan Olesya Baltusova informed that in 2024 the Rebus Forum will be held on 14-15 November. She reminded that in the current year the forum will be named “Aglomerations: Experience, Opportunities. Challenges” and will be held with participation of China “as it will take place during the ROSTCI Forum.”
On 24 April Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov together with speakers and experts, investors, representatives of start-ups and venture funds, large corporations and development institutes took part in events of the “zero” day of the Russian Venture Forum dedicated to the topic of “Technological Entrepreneurship: the space of highest skills.
On 24 April Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Rustam Nigmatullin on behalf of the Government of the republic and the Director of the VOIN Center Igor Kazarezov signed an agreement on cooperation between the Government of the republic and the Center, which envisages interaction in issues of patriotic upbringing and military and sports training of youngsters.
On 24 April, speaking at a briefing in the Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers, the Chairman of the Regional Committee on protection of Cultural Heritage Sites Ivan Guschin informed that in 2024 the Committee initiated historical and cultural expertise of nearly 100 sites and 20 archeological monuments to take them under state protection.
