Head of RT Government Rustam Minnikhanov: “We hope that with renovation of antimonopoly law, infringements in republic become less”

Practice of modern economy has proved that the competition is a powerful mechanism of economic development. Prime Minister of Republic Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov declared this today at the opening of expanded Board session of Federal antimonopoly service (FAS) of Russia.

He thanked the management of department that a place of holding the expanded Board, a capital of Tatarstan Kazan had been chosen. Today, the representatives more than 80 FAS territorial bodies of federation subjects have gathered here. Chief of department Igor Artemyev held Board session.

As head of the RT Government informed, today the level of competitiveness of the produced goods and rendered services depends much on a level of competition. In this connection the Government of Tatarstan undertakes all possible measures for supporting local commodity producers and boosting competition between them. In Rustam Minnikhanov's opinion, the issues which stand on the agenda of FAS Board are actual and important. Especially important it became upon coming into force of a so-called second antimonopoly package of laws.

The amendments into antimonopoly law of Russia introduce essentially new institutions, conceptually change approaches to remedial and procedural tools, Rustam Minnikhanov is confident.

As he said, coming into force of the antimonopoly package of documents many problems would be solved much more effectively. It touches, first of all, violations from the part of authorities and infringements in sphere of the state order.

Prime Minister of RT emphasized that, unfortunately, the problem of cartels is actual for our republic likewise. For resolving, including, this task - fighting cartels and going into huddle - a decision was taken up in Tatarstan on creating a single platform for carrying out purchases on electronic auctions. Today, it is one of three federal platforms on electronic tenders. The electronic trading platform will allow to save budgetary funds, which can be directed on solving other economic questions.

Rustam Minnikhanov emphasized: a number of revealed antimonopoly infringements from year to year is growing and it testifies that businessmen began more often to address FAS - this structure they reckon a defender of their rights.

Today, it is necessary to unite efforts of all authorities, head of the RT Government noted. In particular, the Government of Tatarstan cooperates with FAS territorial management for solving such problems as maintenance of competitive conditions, development of small and middle business, attracting investments in the region.

In second half day within the limits of the FAS Board expanded session, the reports are planned by General director of State Unitary Enterprise « Agency on state order, investment activity and inter-regional connections of RT » Yacov Geller, FAS deputy head of Russia Pavel Subbotin, etc.

September 1, the participants of FAS board of Russia will take part in a conference on competition under aegis of the BRIC countries. The action is due to be held in «KORSTON» (Kazan).
