Rustam Minnikhanov: Banking sector is the most essential part of the economy and it is important to maintain its stability

On January 13, at Tatarstan Government House at his meeting with management representatives of the largest banks working in the republic, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that the banking sector is the most essential part of the economy and it is important to maintain its stability.
The current situation in the sector and issues related to risks, capitalization, lending and other matters were discussed at the meeting. In particular, the urgent problem of providing lending to agricultural producers within the framework of the next sowing campaign was touched upon. Besides, the meeting considered further lending of some investment projects implemented in Tatarstan.
Minnikhanov has given an errand to monitor situation in the banking sector on a regular basis.
