The event began with broadcasting a congratulatory video message from Russian Prosecutor General Yury Chaika. After that, Minnikhanov addressed the audience with his congratulatory speech.
"Dear employees and veterans of prosecution office, I sincerely congratulate you on your professional holiday - the Day of Prosecutor's worker.
For many years, the prosecution office has been the reliable backbone of the state, making a significant contribution to the social and economic development of the republic and creating favorable conditions for business. An uncompromising struggle against crime and corruption, protection of citizens' rights, ensuring the unity of the economic environment - this is only a small part of your daily work. It is based on its results people largely judge the ability of the state to restore order and ensure legitimacy.
The prosecutor's supervision over human rights still remains a priority. The prosecusion office is a body a person turns to in a difficult moment. Citizens need to be sure that they will always find support there and that their legal rights will be protected.
The most important task of the public prosecutor’s office is to coordinate work of law enforcement agencies to prevent crimes. Public safety and stability of the state largely depend on the efficiency of your work.
Solid work is now being done to maintain interethnic and inter-religious peace and harmony in the republic. Thanks to the measures you have taken, no large-scale manifestations of extremism and terrorism and massive violations of public order, including the period of major public events, were taken place last year.
We have a number of significant events, including election of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, local government elections, FINA World Championship, Confederation Cup in 2017, FIFA World Cup in 2018 to come. We all have a lot of work to do. I'm sure we will cope with the tasks set in a worthy manner.
Employees of the prosecutor’s office have always showed high professionalism, fidelity to duty and perfect personal skills. I want to thank all the prosecutors for their invaluable contribution to providing law and order. I would like to especially thank veterans of the public prosecutor's office for many years of their service to the law.
I congratulate you on your professional holiday and wish you and your families health, happiness and all the best in the coming year."
