On January 16, at a meeting on construction of new objects in the historic center of Kazan, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov said that Kazan embankment should have its own concept to become more attractive for city dwellers.
Rustam Minnikhanov reminded participants of the meeting that he visited Gorky Central Park of Culture and Leisure in Moscow on January 14, where he saw reconstructed sports grounds, skating rink, and children’s playgrounds. The president thinks that this experience can be used in creating multifunctional cultural environment in Kazan.
Minnikhanov suggested discussing the issue with experts.
“We should use experience of Moscow in creating educational, entertainment and children’s centers in the park,” the president said.
Rustam Minnikhanov thinks that such recreation zones should, first of all, be created in Kazan, and then in Naberezhnye Chelny, Almetievsk and other towns.
