Rustam Minnikhanov takes part in World Economic Forum

On January 22, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov arrived on a working visit in Davos to take part in the World Economic Forum. Director General of Tataneft Oil Company Nail Maganov is also a member of the Russian delegation led by Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Igor Shuvalov.
During his three-day stay in Davos, Minnikhanov will take part in a number of events to be held within the framework of the forum. Today, Tatarstan President will attend a solemn opening ceremony of the forum. Also, Minnikhanov will hold some meetings, attend business breakfasts and sessions of the forum.
At the invitation of Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Karim Massimov, Minnikhanov will take part in a ceremony of signing a memorandum between Republic of Kazakhstan and Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development.
On 10 January, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatutllin informed that in the current year the Ministry will take part in implementation of five national projects and three state programmes with planned construction and capital overhaul of 172 facilities for the total sum of 17bn rubles.
On 10 January, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Zyabbarov informed that it is expected to achieve a comparable growth of produce of 1.5%, including that in food production - at least 2.6% in the agricultural sector.
On 4 January Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, who is the First Deputy Chairman of the Commission of prevention and elimination of emergency situation and ensuring fire safety of the republic, has taken a decision to put into operation the “Buran” (Snow storm) plan in Tatarstan starting from 2 pm on 4 January until the consequences of adverse meteorological events are eliminated by ministries, departments and organizations which ensure the smooth movement of road and rail transport in winter.
On 3 January on the errand from the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, who is the First Deputy Chairman of the Commission of prevention and elimination of emergency situations and ensuring fire safety of the republic , held an urgent meeting of the Commission which discussed readiness of forces and means to ensure security during the New Year and Christmas holidays.
