Ildar Khalikov: Main result of Federal Penal Service in the Republic of Tatarstan is absence of emergency situations

On January 21, at a session of Federal Penal Service in the Republic of Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov said that absence of escapes, emergency situations and resonance crimes in places of detention is the main result of work of the service. Head of Federal Penal Service in the Republic of Tatarstan Daufit Khamadishin made a keynote report at the session.
According to Khamadishin, most prisoners are serving a sentence for committing heavy and especially grave crimes. No mass disturbances or accidents happened in places of detention. 1,140 crimes were reveled due to cooperation with law enforcement bodies.
It was noted that 55 drug trafficking channels were cut off, 50 criminal cases were opened, 2,78 kg of drugs were intercepted. The system of mobile signal suppression was tested at one of correctional institutions during the year.
Tatarstan prosecutor Ildus Nafikov, who took part in the session, noted positive changes that took place in the penal service, namely decreased of the number of crimes, and absence of accidents. He also said that counteracting terrorism and extremism is a priority task of Federal Penal Service in the Republic of Tatarstan.
Ildar Khalikov positively estimated work of the service in 2014 and thanked employees on behalf of Tatarstan President and Government. He noted that the amount of exempted drugs, mobiles and alcoholic drinks increased.
Khalikov continued that detention conditions, medical and food services for prisoners were improved in 2014.
Summing up, Khalikov said that 2014 was characterized by positive dynamics in terms of key figures.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “

There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
