Four test competitions to be held within framework of preparation for XVI World Aquatics Championship

On January 27, at briefing in Cabinet of Ministers of Tatarstan Republic Tatarstan Minister of Youth Affairs and Sport Vladimir Leonov said that new sports will be included in the programme of XVI World Aquatics Championship. These new sports are Technical and Free Routines of the mixed duet in synchronised swimming and 3-meter and 10-meter mixed springboard diving.
Vladimir Leonov noted that all issues are efficiently settled thanks to cooperation with federal authorities. To the point, visa-free entry to the Russian Federation will be allowed to the participants of championship from July 15 to August 15, 2015. As for the participants of World Masters Championship, visa process will be facilitated.
Tatarstan Republic Tatarstan Minister of Youth Affairs and Sport added that the schedule of the Campionship is approved.
Four test competitions will be held within the preparation framework of XVI World Aquatics Championship, eight ones have already been carried out.
On April 17-19 Russian Masters Aquatics Championship, on April 20-26 International Championship “FINA Diving World Series”, on June 15-25 International water polo tournament among men’s team, on July 15 Open water swimming competition are to be held.
On January 6 the process of applying for the Championship for sportsmen and officials started. 106 people from 17 countries are currently registered. Mass-media accreditation to the Championship are open from January 15. 49 mass media organizations from 14 countries applied the application.
On 5 February Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in ceremony of awarding winners of the regional competition “The Woman of the Year. The Man of the Year: A Woman’s View” held at the Korston Leisure and Recreation Center in Kazan.
On 4 March at a briefing in the Government House of the republic Tatarstan Minister of Land and Property Relation Fanil Agliullin told about changes in land legislation enforced from 1 March of the current year. He said that they simplify a number of procedures for land plot owners including expanding the possibilities for land use and changing the rules for changing the category of a plot.
On 2 March in her address on the occasion of the Mentor’s Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: “Since 2025 this holiday established by Russian President Vladimir Putin has occupied a worthy place in the calendar of significant dates of our country, emphasizing the high status and significance of the mentoring mission.
On 28 February, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Director of the Fund “The Institute of Development of Tatarstan Cities” Nailya Nagumanova informed about preparation to the implementation of the Our Yard programme in the republic.
