Ildar Khalikov: "It is necessary to protect all the basic interests of citizens under current conditions"

On January 30, speaking at a summary session of the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Protection of the republic, Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov said that the significance of the work carried out by the Ministry increases under current challenging economic conditions.
Making a report on the work done by the Ministry in 2014, Minister of Labour, Employment and Social Protection of the republic Elmira Zaripova said that in 2014 average monthly salaries for 11 months grew 10.1 per cent, totaling to 27,597.2 roubles, while real salaries increased by 2.7 per cent in Tatarstan. According to her, Tatarstan is the leader in terms of wages among regions of the Volga Federal District.
In 2014 the average number of economically active population of the republic amounted to 2056.7 thousand people, of which 1975,9 (96.1 per cent) people are employed in the economic sector.
As of 1 January 2015, 15.2 thousand people were registered at employment centers as the unemployed, which makes 0.74 per cent of the economically active population of the republic. However, according to the Minister, 33,000 jobs are available in the labor market of the republic today.
Elmira Zaripov continued that under the current economic situation, the unemployment in mono-towns of the republic raise serious concerns. "We are monitoring the situation to apply all available measures, we used during the crisis of 2008-2009, if necessary," the Minister said.
According to her, the Ministry should update the list of anti-crisis measures, paying particular attention to temporary employment, internship of citizens who are at risk of dismissal. At the same time, Elmira Zaripov noted that the requirements of the federal government on allocation of funds are quite strict and give priority to enterprises engaged in import substitution, increased productivity and replacement of foreign workforce with Russian citizens.
Speaking at the meeting, Ildar Khalikov noted that the main tasks set before the Ministry were fulfilled completely, adding that in general, the regional economy, despite the difficulties, managed to finish the year with growth in all major indicators.
According to him, the Ministry should take preventive measures, initiate the care and support for enterprises of the republic and their employees. You should also establish cooperation with the federal government on the implementation of anti-crisis measures, Khalikov said.

On 21 April, speaking at a briefing in the Government House of the republic, the Head of the Russian Federal Tax Service for Tatarstan Marat Safiullin said that slightly more than one week is left to file an income tax return for 2025 with the tax service. According to the results of the tax campaign 5.5.bn rubles should come to the regional budget, he said and informed who should submit declarations and who is entitled to benefits.
