Film Director Nikita Mikhalkov arrives in Kazan to take part in opening of film festival “Golden Minbar”

RT Minister of culture Zilya Valeeva told at the briefing in RT Cabinet about preparation and holding of the Fifth International Muslim film festival “Golden Minbar”. The festival starts on September, 30 and is over on October,4.

About 400 films have been presented for the contest in 2009. Tatarstan present 2 films at the festival.

RT Minister of culture said that a famous Russian producer and actor Nikita Mikhalkov would come to the opening ceremony of the festival. Moreover, such well-known film stars as Vera Glagoleva, Emmanuil Vitrogan, Marina Neelova and others are coming in Kazan as well.

Zilya Valeeva also noted that this year Sudan, Czech Republic, Mexico and Albania applied for participation for the first time.

An official opening of festival begins at the KRK “Piramida” on September, 30 at 18.30.

As many as 3m 175 thousand square meters of housing planned to put into operation in Tatarstan in 2026

On 10 January, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatutllin informed that in the current year the Ministry will take part in implementation of five national projects and three state programmes with planned construction and capital overhaul of 172 facilities for the total sum of 17bn rubles.

On 10 January, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipality regions taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Zyabbarov informed that it is expected to achieve a comparable growth of produce of 1.5%, including that in food production - at least 2.6% in the agricultural sector.

“Buran” (Snow storm) plan put into operation in Tatarstan

On 4 January Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, who is the First Deputy Chairman of the Commission of prevention and elimination of emergency situation and ensuring fire safety of the republic, has taken a decision to put into operation the “Buran” (Snow storm) plan in Tatarstan starting from 2 pm on 4 January until the consequences of adverse meteorological events are eliminated by ministries, departments and organizations which ensure the smooth movement of road and rail transport in winter.

Aleksey Pesoshin holds urgent meeting of the Commission of prevention and elimination of emergency situation and ensuring fire safety

On 3 January on the errand from the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, who is the First Deputy Chairman of the Commission of prevention and elimination of emergency situations and ensuring fire safety of the republic , held an urgent meeting of the Commission which discussed readiness of forces and means to ensure security during the New Year and Christmas holidays.
