Kazakhstan Prime Minister Karim Masimov: We have set a good pace of our relationship and now it is important to keep it up

On February 5, at their meeting at the Kazan Kremlin, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov and Kazakhstan Prime Minister Karim Masimov discussed that Kazakhstan is interested in Tatarstan experience in the field of oil production, refining and petrochemical industry, natural gas vehicles, while Tatarstan is interested in the experience of Kazakh partners in the banking sector, particularly in Islamic banking, as well as in international cooperation, including with China.
Welcoming members of the Kazakhstan delegation, Minnikhanov noted that over the past years contacts between Kazakhstan and Tatarstan as one of the regions of Russia have strengthened greatly. He reminded that in 2014 he visited Kazakhstan three times, including the interregional forum in Atyrau, where an agreement on cooperation with Kyzylorda and Atyrau regions was signed. Then, Days of Tatarstan in Kazakhstan (September 2014) were held at a high level in the republic.
"Kazakhstan is one of the leading trade partners of Tatarstan. A good foundation for strengthening our relations has been provided,” Minnikhanov said.
According to Tatarstan President, such spheres as economics, petrochemical industry, mechanical engineering, automotive, helicopter, shipbuilding, energy, agriculture, information technology have a huge potential for cooperation.
Karim Masimov thanked for the opportunity to get acquainted with the activity of industrial enterprises and innovative sites in Kazan which members of the Kazakhstan delegation visited today. According to him, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan attaches great importance to the development and strengthening of relations with the Russian Federation and its regions.

On 4 January Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, who is the First Deputy Chairman of the Commission of prevention and elimination of emergency situation and ensuring fire safety of the republic, has taken a decision to put into operation the “Buran” (Snow storm) plan in Tatarstan starting from 2 pm on 4 January until the consequences of adverse meteorological events are eliminated by ministries, departments and organizations which ensure the smooth movement of road and rail transport in winter.
On 3 January on the errand from the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin, who is the First Deputy Chairman of the Commission of prevention and elimination of emergency situations and ensuring fire safety of the republic , held an urgent meeting of the Commission which discussed readiness of forces and means to ensure security during the New Year and Christmas holidays.
On 29 December, speaking at a briefing held in Tatarstan Government House on issues of ensuring the uninterrupted operation of road services and housing and communal services during the holidays, the First Deputy Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector of the republic Damir Shaydullin said that during the holidays special attention will be given to providing heat supply to apartment buildings.
On 24 December Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in a charity action “The Christmas Tree of Wishes” held during the 17th session of the State Council of the republic of the seventh convocation.
The Head of the Government of the republic will fulfill wishes of five-year old Landysh who dreams of a guitar, 13-year old Zariva who will get a smart speaker, eight-year old Leyla dreaming of a bike and 16-year old Evelina who will be given an e-book.
