Alexander Khudilaynen: We are sure that cooperation with Tatarstan will be developing

On February 16, during the visit of Tatarstan delegation to Karelia, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov met Head of Karelia Alexander Khudilaynen.
Heads of regions discussed areas of cooperation during one to one conversation, and took part in an extended meeting with participation of Chairman of Karelia Legislative Assembly Vladimir Semenov, federal inspector in Karelia Ivan Sivin, Mayor of Petrozavodsk Galina Shirshina, rector of Petrozavodsk state university Anatoly Voronin, deputies of the Head of Karelia and heads of local authorities.
The Tatarstan delegation was presented by the Minister of Industry and Trade Ravil Zaripov, Minister of Health Adel Vafin, Minister of Forestry Almas Nazirov, Chairman of the State Committee on Tourism Sergey Ivanov, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the World Congress of Tatars Rinat Zakirov.
Opening the meeting, Alexander Khudilaynen said that the visit of Karelian delegation to Tatarstan in July 2014 gave impetus to development of cooperation between two republics.
During their visit to Karelia members of the Tatarstan delegation held negotiations, visited woodworking factory “Kalevala”, Institute of high biomedical technologies and IT-park.
Rustam Minnikhanov highly estimated competitive advantage, resource base and economic potential of Karelia. He noted that Tatarstan companies are interested in development of cooperation with Petrozavodsk state university, and automated production and HR management systems. Among prospective areas of cooperation participants of the meeting pointed out medicine, tourism, forestry and IT.
Members of the Tatarstan delegation offered Karelian colleagues to use technologies and produce of the republic.
Adel Vafin was interested in cross-border cooperation of Finland and Karelia and outdoor trainers produced by «MB Barbell».
Sergey Ivanov suggested organizing mutual information tours for operators in order to present tourist potential of Tatarstan and Karelia.
The Agreement on cooperation between Karelia and Tatarstan Government was signed at the end of the meeting.
On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
On May 14, Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kokhir Rasulzoda, who arrived on a working visit in Kazan to take part in the events of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, was met by Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin and other officials at the Kazan International Airport.
