Almetievsk municipal region council votes for early resignation of Mazit Salikhov

On February 19, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov took part in the 39th meeting held by Almetievsk municipal region council and city council.
The meeting reviewed region’s performance in 2014 and tasks for 2015, early resignation of Head of Almetievsk region and Almetievsk.
Head of Almetievsk region Mazit Salikhov said 2014 was a year of effective work. “The year gave our region sustainable development, successes and achievements in many areas. Our mutual efforts produced positive results in economy and improving the general living standard. The fact is confirmed by the second place Almetievsk region holds in the social economic ranking of Tatarstan municipalities for 2014,” he continued.
In 2014 the average monthly salary in the region totalled 34,527 roubles, or 9.1 per cent more than a year earlier, he said. Shipped products increased by 9.2 per cent, amounting to 478.4 billion roubles, whereas construction industry saw a 13.8 per cent decline, he reported.
Speaking at the meeting Tatarstan President said: “We have a great deal of construction works to do, which is why we establish a special body to supervise construction technologies and costs in Tatarstan. When we considered people eligible for this job, your chief turned out to be somebody with a background in construction and extensive working experience. We made him an offer.”
The deputies voted for early resignation of Mazit Salikov as Head of Almetievsk region and Almetievsk.

On 5 February Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in ceremony of awarding winners of the regional competition “The Woman of the Year. The Man of the Year: A Woman’s View” held at the Korston Leisure and Recreation Center in Kazan.
On 4 March at a briefing in the Government House of the republic Tatarstan Minister of Land and Property Relation Fanil Agliullin told about changes in land legislation enforced from 1 March of the current year. He said that they simplify a number of procedures for land plot owners including expanding the possibilities for land use and changing the rules for changing the category of a plot.
On 2 March in her address on the occasion of the Mentor’s Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva congratulated residents of the republic with the event and wrote: “Since 2025 this holiday established by Russian President Vladimir Putin has occupied a worthy place in the calendar of significant dates of our country, emphasizing the high status and significance of the mentoring mission.
On 28 February, speaking at a meeting held by Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Director of the Fund “The Institute of Development of Tatarstan Cities” Nailya Nagumanova informed about preparation to the implementation of the Our Yard programme in the republic.
