RT Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov took part in press-conference broadcasted on air at Russian TV channel “Vesti-24”. The press conference was dedicated to organization and holding the First All-Russian forum “Russia-sports power” on October, 22-25. It was broadcasted from press-centre VGTRK in Moscow and Kazan studio.
Deputy chairman of the RF Government-Head of forum’s organization committee Aleksandr Zhukov, RF Minister of sport, tourism and youth policy Vitaly Mutko, Secretary of council on developing physical culture and sports Aleksey Kulakovsky under RF President answered the questions of mass media representatives in Moscow.
While opening the conference Aleksandr Zhukov said that it is meant to hold this forum annually in those Russian cities which had achieved the largest success in sports and development of sports infrastructure.
Kazan was chosen the place of holding the first forum not at random. It is the capital of Universiade-2013, the most sports city in the country.
By and large, about 1300 people are going to take part in the forum (300 of them are foreigners) and more than 100 representatives of mass media. Moreover, heads of many international and European sports federations have already confirmed their participation in the forum “Russia-sports power”.
By words of Vitaly Mutko Kazan is actively preparing for Universiade-2013 and it is planned to show sports objects under construction and organization work in the course of forum.
RT Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov told about development of physical culture and sports in Tatarstan in details. Tatarstan takes part in all federal programs which enable sports infrastructure growing and developing physical culture and sports.
In the course of press-conference representatives of federal mass media asked to estimate organization and quality of international rally “Silk road” - “Dakar” series which has been recently held in Kazan. Vitaly Mutko said that the example of rally “Silk road” is an impressive evidence of that fact that Kazan is able to hold competitions of any level.
