Tatarstan President comments on introducing chargeable parking in Kazan

On February 20, during the 5th session of Tatarstan State Council, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov commented on organization of chargeable parking and penalty for failure to pay for vehicle parking in Kazan.
Parliament of the republic passed a bill “On introducing amendments to the Code of the Republic of Tatarstan on administrative offences and article No. 1 of the law “On vesting local self-government with state powers on defining the list of officials in charge of making protocols on administrative offences”.
The bill stipulates administrative responsibility for non-payment of parking and the amount of penalty. The parking fee is 50 roubles per hour, the penalty for failure to pay for parking is 2.5 thousand roubles.
Rustam Minnikhanov is sure that it is necessary to regulate parking in the city and the initiative of Kazan authorities should be supported. Also, Kazan Mayor’s Office should consider parking at night time and weekends.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
