Rustam Minnikhanov visits International School of Kazan

On February 20, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited the International School of Kazan that started its foundation year on September 1, 2014.
The school complex is located in the territory of the liquidated road-building vocational school No. 54 and consists of several buildings and halls of residence. The academic buildings were repaired and modern classrooms for children of primary school (grades one to four) were built in a two-storey building.
The design project was made by the group of architects Fielding Nair International (USA).
Jane Ostrander (USA), the Principal of the elementary school, told Rustam Minnikhanov about the principles of the educational process and staff of teachers. It is expected that an international team of teachers from the United Kingdom, New Zealand, China and other countries will work at the school. All subjects (except mathematics) are taught in English. There are no more than 16 students in a class.
Tatarstan President visited playgrounds and classrooms, visited the school canteen and talked to students.
Minnikhanov also drew attention to the issue of providing housing to foreign teachers and other staff who will work in the Kazan International School.

On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
