Rustam Minnikhanov visits the Ilizarov Scientific Center for Restorative Traumatology and Orthopedics in Kurgan

On February 26, during his working visit to Kurgan, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov visited the the Ilizarov Scientific Center for Restorative Traumatology and Orthopedics.
Director of the Scientific Center Alexander Gubin presented the system of its work and described main methods used in the treatment of patients. According to him, the transosseous osteosynthesis method was originated at the Russian Scientific Center for Restorative Traumatology and Orthopedics named after Ilizarov. Today it is used in more than 60 countries around the world. Every year the Center held training courses for Russian and foreign doctors.
The treatment for limb shortening, false joints, impact of polio, compensation of bone defects, congenital and acquired pathology of the hand and foot were developed and introduced into medical practice at the Ilizarov Center for the first time in the world.
During his visit to the Center Minnikhanov also looked around the Museum of reconstructive orthopedics.
On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
