Ildar Khalikov: United Arab Emirates is an important economic partner of the Republic of Tatarstan

On March 2, at his meeting with the delegation of UAE led by Deputy Minister of economy Abdullah al Saleh in Kazan, Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov said that United Arab Emirates is an important economic partner of the republic.
The UAE delegation arrived in Tatarstan with the familiarization visit (February 28 – March 5). Members of the delegation will visit a number of industrial enterprises, get familiar with economy of the republic and most interesting investment projects.
Ildar Khalikov welcomed the guests and on behalf of Tatarstan President thanked them for a high interest of UAE businessmen in the region.
Khalikov told about industrial potential of the republic and most important areas of economic growth such as oil production and processing, petrochemistry, machine building and agriculture. A solid infrastructure for attracting Russian and foreign investors was created in the region, he added.
In particular, Prime Minister told about Alabuga Special Economic Zone, one of the biggest technoparks in Europe Kama industrial park “Master”, and Innopolis satellite town.
Khalikov noted that many companies are interested in opening their offices in Innopolis already.
Khalikov also told about big international sports events to be held in the republic such as World Aquatics Championship 2015 and World Football Cup 2018.
Abdullah al Saleh, in his turn, thanked Ildar Khalikov for the invitation to visit Kazan and noted that members of the delegation would get familiar with different areas of life in the republic, its economic and investment potential.

On 15 December, speaking at a meeting of the competition committee of the regional public competition “The Manager of the Year” about its results in 2025, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin said that the list of 155 participants (nominees), who are heads of enterprises and organizations from various industries and sectors of the economy, for the competition was formed based on recommendations from regional ministries and departments, city and district municipalities, employers' associations and the Federation of Trade Unions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
