Tatarstan Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov: volume of produced output in republican machine building complex has made 120 bln.roubles for 9 months

Such information was given by RT Prime Minister Rustam Minnikhanov at joint board session of RT Ministry of industry and trade and RT Association of enterprises and entrepreneurs. The event was held in national culture centre “Kazan” and was dedicated to state and perspectives of developing RT machine building complex.

Rustam Minnikhanov noted that machine building complex contributes considerably into republican economy. 40 % of workers from the total number of employees working in industrial sector are employed at 3,5 thousand enterprises.

Owing to economic crisis machine building complex has suffered most of all from decline in production volume, reduction of number of employees and lack of credit resources.

RT Minister of industry and trade Ravil Zaripov made a detailed report about the situation according to results of 9 months 2009. Thus, volume of industrial production for January-September has made 611 bln. roubles (index-87,4 %). Average salary in industrial sector has made 16 000 roubles. The share of unprofitable enterprises of machine building complex – 36 %. In any case, all factors have affected automobile production.

Participants of session also listened to reports of General Director of “Kazan helicopters plant” Vadim Ligay, RT Minister of labour, employment and social protection Airat Shafigullin, Director of RT Centre of energy-efficient technologies Evgeny Martynov.

Rustam Minnikhanov also touched upon the problem of interaction between republican institutes of higher education and enterprises. He offered intensifying the work in the sphere of professional technical education.
