Aleksey Pesoshin: Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers made a decision to introduce special fire safety arrangements to check heavily trafficked facilities

On March 20, at their 6th session of Tatarstan State Council of the 5th convocation, members of the council unanimously supported proposal made by Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin to introduce some amendments to the Russian legislation due to increased cases of violation of fire safety requirements.
"We have witnessed the tragedy that occurred in Kazan on March 11. One of the largest commercial and retail complexes of the city, the Admiral shopping center with more than 1.1 thousand trading places burned. The total area of the fire was about 22 thousand square meters. The firemen fought the fire for more than 12 hours," Pesoshin reminded.
According to Pesoshin, Tatarstan Cabinet of Ministers decided to introduce special fire safety arrangements during which heavily trafficked facilities will be checked in certain regions of the republic.
On 6 December speaking at a regional meeting held by the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov in the Government House of the republic with all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the regional Minister of Construction, Architecture and Housing Utilities Sector Marat Ayzatullin reported about progress in implementation of the of multi-apartment houses capital overhaul programme.
On 5 December, congratulating volunteers with the International Volunteers Day, Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Leyla Fazleeva wrote in her address: “
Your boundless kindness, sincere desire to help others and active civic position deserve special recognition and deep gratitude. There are over 5,000 volunteer associations operating successfully in Tatarstan, with a total membership of over 220,000 caring people of all ages and professions. Every year the contribution of volunteers into public life of the republic becomes more noticeable.
On 4 December Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Shamil Gafarov, who is the Chief of Staff of the Office of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic, took part in a strategic session on the establishment of an inter-university campus in the republic being held at the Kazan Aircraft University on 4-6 December with participation of more than 100 people and more than 40 experts in politics, economy, science, education and industry from all over Russia.
On 1 December Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin took part in N.I. Lobachevsky Prize and Medal Award Ceremony held in Kazan Federal University and handed in the award to the Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Chief Researcher of the St. Petersburg Department of Steklov Mathematical Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences Sergei Ivanov who was awarded for the outstanding achievements in fundamental and applied mathematics.
