Ildar Khalikov presents report on activity of Tatarstan executive authorities in 2014

On March 20, at the 6th session of Tatarstan State Council of the 5th convocation, Tatarstan Prime Minister Ildar Khalikov made report on activity of Tatarstan executive authorities in 2014. Ildar Khalikov noted that there are some negative trends in social and economic development of the republic.
It was noted that Tatarstan’s GRP decreased by 0.1 per cent in January 2015. In January-February, the industrial production index of the republic made 99.3 per cent, the agricultural output increased by 1.4 percent, the turnover of retail sales decreased by 15 per cent.
The plan of high priority measures on ensuring sustainable development and social development was approved in Tatarstan. Regional authorities are focused on maintaining stable work and providing local enterprises with orders, supporting labour market, preservation of jobs.
The republic is among leading regions of the Russian Federation by main macroeconomic indicators, takes the 7th place in Russia by GRP volume, the 3d place by agricultural output, the 5th place by industrial output and capital investments, the 6th place by construction volume, and the 8th place by housing construction and retail sales.
The restrained economic growth was observed in Tatarstan and Russia because of aggravation of the foreign economic situation and imposition of sanctions in 2014. However, the republic managed to keep high level of investments - 542,8 billion roubles.
The share of capital investments in GRP made 33.3 per cent. The industrial production index made 100.6 per cent, the amount of shipped products – 1 trillion 641,5 billion roubles. More than a half of the whole amount of produced oil in the republic has been processed. TANECO plant processed 8 million tonnes of oil in 2014.
Due to implementation of innovations TAIF-NK will start producing light oil high quality products that will satisfy requirements of Russian chemical and petrochemical industry and will be exported.
When the construction of “Ammony” complex is finished it will provide the republic and other regions with nitrogen fertilizers. NEFIS group put into operation the oil-extracting factory. The project is aimed at import substitution of agricultural products and provision of mixed feed for livestock industry.
OAO “KAMAZ” has produced more than 2 million trucks for 45 years and it modernizing its production.
Ford Sollers Alabuga started producing of Ford Ecosport. One of the biggest plants in Europe, Kastamonu Integrated Wood Industry, started working. Modern enterprises that use advanced technologies are being created in traditional economic sectors.
Being one of the most economically developed regions in Russia, Tatarstan actively participates in foreign economic activity. However, the decrease in export by 18.7 per cent and import by 16.1 per cent is observed now.
The report of Tatarstan Government also contained main results of work of executive authorities in terms of institutional factors.
Khalikov reminded that for the last four years Tatarstan has been ranked first among Russian regions in terms of efficiency of activity of executive authorities.

On 18 May ay the CIPR conference in Nizhniy Nogorod the Tatarstan Deputy Prime Minister Roman Shaykhutdinov, the Rector of the Innopolis University Aleksandr Gasnikpov and the Vice-rector of the University Yevgeny Bobrov will take part at round tables session of the conference.
Experts will discuss the role of Tatarstan and Innopolis as one of the key technological centers of the country and how regional innovative platforms help to solve tasks of the whole Russian industry. A special emphasis will be placed on the digital transformation of the oil and gas sector and how large clusters and scientific and technological centers are becoming drivers of industry change.
On 16 May, speaking at a meeting in the Government House of the republic held by the regional Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin with participation of the Rais (Head) of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov and all municipalities taking part in it via videoconference, the Minister of Agriculture and Food of the republic Marat Zyabbarov reported that the sowing of spring crops is in full swing in the republic with 1m 38 thousand hectares or 61 per cent of the planned have been sown.
On May 14, on the sidelines of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, Tatarstan Prime Minister Aleksey Pesoshin and Head of the Federal Service for Accreditation Dmitry Volvach signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation in the development of the halal industry.
On May 14, Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kokhir Rasulzoda, who arrived on a working visit in Kazan to take part in the events of the XVII International Economic Forum “Russia-the Islamic World: KazanForum”, was met by Prime Minister of the republic Aleksey Pesoshin and other officials at the Kazan International Airport.
